While "Amsterdam" may not be David O. Russell’s finest work, it does provide a wave of euphoria in witnessing an attempt at something spectacularly different.
"Halloween Ends" led the box-office weekend as it bested "Smile" by $28.9 million, sending the previous number one film to a very distant second-place finish.
