A new featurette introducing the voice cast for the upcoming release "Transformers One" has just been released!
The first trailer for the new film TRANSFORMERS ONE debuted last week like no movie trailer ever has before: In Space!
While it proves wildly entertaining and engaging for most of its running time, "Thor: Love and Thunder" ends up a bit too light on the story side of the ledger.
Avengers: Infinity War is fun and thrillingly zips through its 156-minute running time and features an ending that shows the MCU can still deliver the audience high stakes indeed. The bigger fan of the MCU you are, the more enjoyment you will take from Avengers: Infinity War, but even mild fans will enjoy the sheer scope of the film.
It’s easy to forget about 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman. Even though the film went on to gross nearly $400 million worldwide and was moderately received, it got lost in the shuffle of other huge blockbusters like The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Hunger Games, and Skyfall. It was just not very memorable, and although the announcement of a sequel from Universal was not very surprising, ...[Read More]
Hello again, dear readers, and I hope a lot of you got out to see Zootopia this past weekend. This week’s Trailer Trashin’ examines the first Ghostbusters trailer for the upcoming reboot of the 1984 classic. Premise: Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) and Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later, Gilbert lands a prest...[Read More]
The 2015 summer movie season officially kicks off with Avengers: Age of Ultron. Needless to say that the bar has been set pretty damn high here. The prior installment, The Avengers (2012), was a well-received film that also had the third highest gross in history with $1.5 billion in ticket sales. That doesn’t even count all the merchandise the film sold. When critics and fans like your work, then ...[Read More]

And as I’ve said many times, dear readers, it’s never too early to look forward to what’s coming out. In that spirit, this week’s Trailer Trashin’ column takes another look at the first big mo...[Read More]
It’s an embarrassment of riches for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), dear readers. Hot on the heels of last week’s examination of the Ant-Man teaser trailer, this week’s Trailer Trashin’ looks at what will probably be the biggest movie of summer 2015, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Premise: With S.H.I.E.L.D. destroyed and the Avengers needing a hiatus f...[Read More]
Blackhat is a film about computer hacker, a “black hat” in IT parlance, causing mayhem and destruction. In light of the recent world events, what more timely a topic could Hollywood possibly tackle? The film is directed by Michael Mann, who is known for films like Thief (1981), Heat (1995), and Miami Vice (2006) to name only a few. Mann is all about a gritty approach and hitting action beats aggre...[Read More]
With Thor: The Dark World, Marvel continues their movie domination over rival DC Comics, and at this point, I don’t think there’s anything DC can do to catch up. Chronologically, Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth) latest appearance takes place one year after the events of Marvel’s The Avengers. The mighty one has spent his time away from Earth working on restoring peace within the nine realms. This ab...[Read More]
Given that both the gasoline-powered internal combustion engine and the motion picture camera came to be at almost the same time, and given that both cars and movies have gone on to hold such special places in American culture, it’s no wonder that Hollywood has had a long love affair with automobiles and racing. From the silent film Racing Hearts (1922), to Disney’s Herbie franchise, t...[Read More]
